The Altair is very environmentally conscious and aims to be as environmentally friendly as possible. While all on-grid power that is consumed at the Motel is purchased from renewable sources the Motel itself also carries numerous off-grid systems including a 10kw solar array that sends energy converted form the sun’s rays into the main electrical system across the motel. Renovations conducted on the Motel have also utilised the most energy efficient products available including double glazed windows, Raven door seals, R5.0 ceiling insulation, LED, and energy efficient lighting within the main areas of the Motel.
